| At
Calvary Baptist Church we believe that learning about Jesus should be
fun. This is especially true in our Children’s Ministry. We never
want it said that we have bored children with the exciting Gospel of
Christ. Our ministries to children are designed to teach God’s
Word in a way that is fun and helps the children put the truths of God’s
Word into practice in their lives. We believe that glorifying God and
ministering in love is carried out in a real and practical way in our
children’s ministries.

camp especially designed for children finishing third through sixth
grade. This camp is held the last week of June each summer. |

Vacation

At
Calvary Baptist Church we do Vacation Bible School right. Each year
in the month of July our church is turned into a jungle, an old west
town, London, or whatever the theme calls for. This year our theme is
“Good News Games.” Get ready for an action packed, fun filled
VBS this year. |

Each
summer our children take five Tuesday day trips. We have gone to Six
Flags over Texas, Water Towne in Shreveport, The Science Place in Tyler,
bowling in Kilgore and Longview, the Skateplex in Longview, McDonalds
and a movie, fishing at church members ponds around Henderson, and The
Ballpark at Arlington to watch the Rangers play baseball. |

SNAC
Night stands for Sunday Night After Church. Families with children through
the fifth grade are invited to join in special monthly activities. We
usually meet the second Sunday of the month and have a creative theme
for the night. We have painted, played, watched movies, had a gift exchange,
hunted Easter eggs, and gone swimming to name a few. |
