Bro. Steve Butler joined the staff at Calvary in 1975 as Associate Pastor of Music. He and his wife Monty moved to Henderson from their home state of Arkansas after completing studies at Ouachita Baptist University where he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He holds both Master and Doctor of Theology diplomas from Texas Baptist Institute in Henderson where he serves as a music instructor and teaches counseling classes. Monty teaches in the Henderson Independent School District.

They are blessed with three sons: Gyce and wife Ashley, Drew and wife Teris and Ryan.  He has one granddaughter Haley.  His responsibilities at Calvary include worship leadership, graded choir program, orchestra leadership, handbells, as well as church administration and pastoral duties.
